ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Process Operator Trainee at Pluto LNG Plant, for our next intake commencing in February / March 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain valuable experience in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive training program that will provide them with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to become a qualified Operator Technician.
This is your opportunity to join a dynamic and growing industry, working at Woodside’s Pluto LNG Plant. Oil and Gas offers a challenging but rewarding career where safety, production targets and plant availability must be balanced in the most efficient way.
You’ll gain technical knowledge on hydrocarbon processing systems, develop skills to operate process facilities and build up a mechanical aptitude. Your training will involve both on-the-job and classroom-based learning.
This traineeship is delivered over a three-year program, where you will work towards achieving a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Position is open to applicants who live locally in the City of Karratha or can demonstrate a strong connection and commitment to the local community.
- Trade certificate, evidence of further study, or demonstrated track record in your current career
- Mechanically minded, problem solving skills and interest in working with machinery and equipment
- A strong work ethic with demonstrated reliability
- Team player with good communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, curious, willing to learn and take on new challenges.
- A desire to further your career.
- Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card [MSIC]
- A current C class driver’s licence with no restrictions
- Good computer skills.
- Adaptability to work 12-hour shifts (including night shifts) under physically demanding conditions.
- A good level of physical fitness and commitment to maintaining your health and wellbeing.
Essential requirement for the role is the ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card [MSIC].
